Braun Liberty Delivered to Wilkes-Barre

Recently, we were very excited to deliver a 2012 Braun Liberty on a Ford F-450 4 x 2 chassis to the City of Wilkes-Barre Fire Department. Located in Wilkes-Barre, PA, the department Chief Jay Delaney worked with Alan Wallace and LeRoy Wallace of Keystone Emergency Vehicles to design the new ambulance. This is the third Braun ambulance for the City of Wilkes-Barre.

The Braun Liberty ambulance comes as a base unit. This gave Wilkes-Barre the flexibility to customize their unit to include the options most important to them. Moreover, it allowed them to get everything they needed within their budget. Features they chose included the Whelen LED light package, On-Spot tire chains, and a wood free, all-aluminum interior.

While working with Wilkes-Barre, the safety of the vehicle was an important factor to them. As with all of Braun Industries’ ambulances, the Liberty is crafted with their innovative SolidBody Construction. Braun SolidBody Construction ambulances are built as one integrated module from .125″ flat-sheet, marine grade aluminum. This reduces the weight of the ambulance module while adding strength.

The City of Wilke-Barre Fire Department found the on-site service offered by Keystone Emergency Vehicles also very important in their decision making process. Since the majority of maintenance needs can be solved at your station, Keystone’s on-site service reduces vehicle downtime and the hassle associated with bringing it to a service location. This will ensure Wilkes-Barre is always up and running as fast as possible.

Keystone Emergency Vehicles, Inc. is hoping to see you at Pennsylvania’s 34th Annual EMS Conference and Pediatric Emergency Care Symposium. This exciting and educational event will be held August 18th thru 19th at the Lancaster County Convention Center & Marriott in Lancaster, PA. You will find knowledgeable ambulance sales specialists from our team in the Exhibit Hall.

At this event, stop and talk with our ambulance sales team during Exhibit Hall Hours. Thursday, August 18th our booth will be open from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm during the evening reception. Friday, August 19th we will be available 7:30 am to 11:00 am and 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. If you are considering a Braun, Medix or Marque ambulance or have questions about an ambulance model you already own, we’d be happy to answer them in person. About the 34th Annual Pennsylvania Statewide EMS Conference:
Organized by the Pennsylvania Emergency Health Services Council and the Pennsylvania Department of Health, the PA EMS Conference is an educational event. The conference focuses on bringing EMS practitioners together from Pennsylvania and around the country to learn the latest advances and practices in the delivery of prehospital emergency medicine. There are several new features to this year’s program including a larger exhibitor area with an indoor vehicle display, which we are particularly excited about. Additionally, there will be education sessions highlighting disaster preparedness, clinical care, leadership and management and other education tracks. Some of the most popular speakers from previous years will also be returning.

2010 Braun Chief XL E-450 for Slocum on Display at Fire Expo 2011

Keystone Emergency Vehicles would like to congratulate Slocum Township Volunteer Fire/EMS Company #1 on their new ambulance! LeRoy Wallace, President of Keystone, recently sold a 2010 Braun Chief XL Ford E-450 ambulance to the company in Wapwallopen, Pennsylvania. This vehicle will be on display at the Fire Expo 2011 – stop by and check it out!

The Slocum Township Volunteer Fire/EMS Company #1 was established in 1957. Since then, the company has been serving their community as a Basic Life Support response team with the help of 25 active volunteers. Currently under the leadership of Captain Ted Wiaterowski, the company utilizes state grants, fundraising techniques and membership donations to maintain the company’s apparatus and equipment.

The new 2010 Braun Chief XL Ford E-450 ambulance joins several other emergency vehicles on Slocum’s fleet. In addition, this is the 4th Braun ambulance Slocum has purchased. Keystone Emergency Vehicles sends a warm congratulations to Milroy Hose Company #1 on their new ambulances! Alan Wallace of Keystone Emergency Vehicles recently delivered a 2010 Braun Chief XL Chevy G4500 and a 2010 Braun Chief XL G4500 4 x 4 to the department located in Milroy, PA. With over 83 years of service, these two awesome emergency vehicles will join an already impressive fleet to help serve the department’s coverage area.

Under the leadership of EMS Chief Chris McCoy, the Milroy fire department collected money for their new Braun ambulances through fund raising and donations. With that said, we also commend the citizens of Armagh Township! It is through your support that these emergency vehicles were purchased and your department can serve you with the best apparatus on the market.  Answering over 700 calls each year, it is important the Milroy Hose Company #1 has reliable ambulances to get the job done.

The department chose the 2010 Braun Chief XL ambulance on the Chevy G4500 chassis for several reasons.
